Boston Police Search for Craigslist Killer
BOSTON, Mass. – Cops unleashed a manhunt yesterday for the Craigslist killer, a gun-toting savage apparently targeting escorts and masseuses who advertise online and work out of pricey downtown Boston hotel rooms.
Police believe the cold–blooded killer who shot to death 26-year-old Julissa Brisman, a New York masseuse, at Marriott Copley Place on Tuesday night is the same clean–cut Caucasian man who bound and robbed at gunpoint a 29-year-old hooker from Las Vegas in her room at the Westin Copley Place on Friday.
Police identified Brisman today but gave no further details. Police said they are working with Craigslist to help track down the killer.
Brisman put up a fight when the killer attempted to tie up her wrists and rob her, police said. The woman, who had advertised on Craigslist, struggled with him in the hotel room doorway before being shot multiple times, said police Commissioner Edward Davis.
Inside the hotel room, cops found a massage table. Cops initially termed Brisman as a prostitute, but later referred to her as a masseuse.
Appealing to the public in a major push to catch the sicko, cops released surveillance photos yesterday showing the suspect, wearing a black jacket and dark slacks and typing on a BlackBerry as he ascended and got off the escalator at the Marriott.
The suspect also appeared to be similarly engrossed in his phone in last week’s photos from the robbery at the Westin, and at times wore a Red Sox [team stats] hat. The victim of that assault had advertised on Craigslist. More on officer.com
