Evergreen, Montana – An Evergreen man arrested in connection with the shooting death of a 42-year-old woman was charged Monday with deliberate homicide.

Baron James Foster, 47, is accused of using a 9 mm handgun to shoot his neighbor, 42-year-old Michele Miller, in the head late Friday after an argument escalated into violence. Miller and her roommate had gone next door to Foster’s apartment for a visit, court records show. A man who was in the apartment when the shooting occurred said Miller arrived for dinner about 10:30 p.m.

But Foster and Miller soon got into an argument that eventually escalated into a physical confrontation. Investigators are still attempting to determine the reason for the fight.

Foster, who had brought out a rifle, a pistol, and a knife to show another guest, allegedly picked up the handgun and held it to Miller’s neck before firing twice. More on Daily Inter Lake
